Nova Specialty Surgery, is India's first chain of standalone day surgery centers. Nova has 12 functional centers across India. South Mumbai's first Nova was launched on 1st January 2012 in Tardeo. It is spread across 12,000 sq. ft. and has ultra-modern facilities. The center has 4 ultra-modern operating rooms, 16 beds with 3 deluxe rooms, 6 OPD consult rooms with separate Bariatric, Gynaecology and Ophthalmology units, completely equipped laboratory and fully equipped preventive health check-up unit. Each patient bed/room is equipped with gas lines, monitoring equipment and defibrillators. These are constantly monitored by duty doctors and trained staff.

More than 70 per cent of all surgeries can be performed under short-stay procedures. Nova Specialty Surgery offers upwards of 700 such procedures, covering specialties like ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Colorectal Surgery, Plastic & Cosmetic and Urology, Bariatrics.

Minimally invasive procedures are hugely beneficial to patients because of smaller incisions, minimal damage to surrounding tissues, lesser inflammation and negligible blood loss. Since the procedures do not require an overnight stay, patients can also avoid contracting Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).

But for those patients who do require some extra care, our center is fully equipped to support short stays with the required equipment and fully trained medical and paramedical staff on duty. We also help the patient with home visit and home care facilities.
